Governance
All Unicollege activities are regulated, managed, and monitored through a dual governance system, consisting of governing and supporting bodies, which oversee each key action pursued within the Institution – academics, administration, HR, IT, internationalization, legal, etc.
- Administration
Unicollege’s Administration Office coincides with the Administrative Body of the Managing Entity, Adiuva S.r.l., which, in agreement with the President of Unicollege, is responsible for planning and directing the administrative, financial, and asset management of Unicollege.
- President
The President of Unicollege represents the institution in its relations with all stakeholders and is responsible for implementing the resolutions of the Administrative Body and the Technical-Scientific and Evaluation Committees – except for matters of scientific and academic nature, which fall under the authority of the Dean of Academic Affairs.
The President:
– Represents Unicollege at institutional events and in interactions with stakeholders.
– Deals with the various bodies of both the Managing Entity and Unicollege, ensuring compliance with ministerial directives and internal regulations, while pursuing institutional, academic, and quality objectives.
– Proposes new initiatives to the Administrative Body.
– Evaluates, together with the Administrative Body and the Dean of Academic Affairs, applications for both teaching and non-teaching staff positions.
III. Dean of Academic Affairs
The Dean of Academic Affairs oversees the academic, scientific, and cultural activities of Unicollege and represents the community of faculty, students, and staff ensuring quality control – in support of academic objectives. The Dean of Academic Aaffairs operates in full compliance with the Statute, the Academic Regulations of Unicollege, and the resolutions of the Administrative Body, as well as in coordination with the President of Unicollege. The Dean of Academic Affairs is appointed by the Administrative Body, with the opinion of the President of Unicollege, from among distinguished figures of recognized academic and professional standing.
At Unicollege, there are two Deans of Academic Affairs: one operates at the campus level (e.g., for an individual campus), while the other, known as the General Dean of Academic Affairs, has overarching supervisory authority across all three campuses (Florence, Mantua, and Turin).
- Administrative Director
The Administrative Director supervises the work of the technical and administrative staff within Unicollege. This role includes overseeing the various technical departments within Unicollege and ensuring control over all technical and administrative sectors to implement the strategic plans set by the Administrative Body.
- Interdepartmental Coordination Committee
The Interdepartmental Coordination Committee is composed of the coordinators of the Departments responsible for all the subjects taught at Unicollege. It works in close collaboration with the Deans of Academic Affairs and contributes to the development of the most appropriate strategies for achieving the academic objectives of the institution.
- Technical-Scientific and Evaluation Committee
The Technical-Scientific and Evaluation Committee is responsible for monitoring the functioning of Unicollege, ensuring compliance with ministerial regulations on higher education, and assessing the scientific and academic results achieved both in the three-year undergraduate programs and in the two-year graduate programs.
It is composed of three members: a tenured university professor (from an institution external to Unicollege, who serves as the President of the Committee), a representative from the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research, and an expert in the field of interpreting, translation, and applied languages.
VII. Student Representatives
Student Representatives play a fundamental role in fostering the continuous improvement of academic organization and services at Unicollege. They constitute an elected body that interacts with the institutional bodies of Unicollege, collaborating with them and conveying students’ proposals, suggestions, and observations regarding the institution’s activities. Each campus elects Student Representatives, with two representatives for the three-year undergraduate programs and one for the two-year graduate programs. They are elected by their fellow students and serve for one academic year.
Supporting Bodies
The Supporting Bodies are internal structures designed to provide the Governing Bodies with the necessary tools to achieve the institution’s management and development objectives.
- Quality Assessment Unit
The Quality Assessment Unit is responsible for conducting an annual analysis of Unicollege’s performance in achieving its objectives for improving the quality of teaching and training processes. It prepares an advisory report for the Technical-Scientific and Evaluation Committee. The Unit is composed of the Dean of Academic Affairs, two faculty members from relevant academic areas, an administrative officer, and a student representative.
- Departments
At Unicollege, the organization of courses, curricula, and study programs follows a departmental structure, comprising all faculty members. Each department is led by a coordinator; together, all the department coordinators form the Interdepartmental Coordination Committee – which serves as a key Governing Body of the institution.
The departmental structure supports the Dean of Academic Affairs Office in facilitating the achievement of Unicollege’s academic and training objectives.

- Administrative Unit
At Unicollege, the administrative unit serves two key principles:
- Comprehensive Expertise – Administrative roles are structured around specific functions, ensuring in-depth knowledge and mastery of all relevant aspects. Coordination in this model harmonizes actions and encourages continuous improvement to expand existing competencies.
- Hierarchical Organization – A structured, centralized, and hierarchical framework focused on delivering results, whether material or intangible. Coordination is managed through clearly defined hierarchical channels.
A function-based organization is particularly effective in activating specialized services that address specific institutional needs. This model is best suited to meeting the administrative and academic requirements of a university environment, which is why Unicollege has adopted this organizational structure.
