Defining the Exchange Program – Characteristics of Exchange Mobility
The Exchange Program is structured to provide students with a semester-long mobility experience at one of Unicollege’s partner universities. The key features include:
Semester Abroad: The exchange period lasts one semester (generally three months long).
Academic Calendar: Semesters are divided into:
- Fall Semester (August/September – December)
- Spring Semester (January/February – May/June)
- Students are responsible for confirming the exact start and end dates of their assigned exchange semester.
- Tuition-Free Mobility: The exchange program is free for all regularly enrolled Unicollege students. This includes tuition and academic fees at the host university. However, students are responsible for their travel, accommodation, meals, and any additional university-related expenses.
- Limited Availability: Exchange opportunities are limited per semester and per university. Unicollege negotiates individual agreements with each institution to ensure fair and reciprocal student exchanges.
- Selection Process: A selection is conducted each semester, based on:
- Academic performance at Unicollege
- Merit-based assessment
- Fiscal threshold and classification
- Seamless Credit Transfer: Courses taken at the host university are directly recognized and fully integrated into the student’s Unicollege academic path.
- Comprehensive Support: Unicollege provides academic, logistical, and personal support at every stage of the exchange experience, including application, selection, departure, and reintegration.
To qualify for the Unicollege Exchange Program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be officially enrolledin a bachelor’s degree program at Unicollege.
– Be up-to-date with tuition payments and any outstanding fees related to Unicollege or student housing.
– Maintain a minimum grade of 24/30 in the most recent English language course.
- Students with a grade between 20/30 and 23/30 may submit a conditional application, which requires approval from the Dean of Academic Affairs
Have completed at least two-thirds of the required credits before submitting the application: - 40 credits for first-year students
- 80 credits for second-year students
- 120 credits for third-year students
