At Unicollege, you will receive advanced and applied language training in two/three foreign languages, choosing between 10 (languages). Your first language requires a B1 (pe-intermediate) proficiency level (upon enrollment); your second language can be either another European language (such as French or Spanish – with prior knowledge) or an Asian language (Arabic, Chinese, or Russian), which can also be studied from beginner level. Students who studied only one foreign language in high school can choose Spanish or French as their second language and attend a free intensive course to reach the required level (held in September).
Additionally, students can learn a third optional language, with courses available from beginner (A0) to advanced (B1) levels, covering various European and Asian languages.
Mastering a language requires technical expertise, and Unicollege provides the necessary skills to excel in this fascinating academic and professionalizing realm. At Unicollege, you will learn translation (both from and to the two/three selected foreign languages); consecutive interpreting, using note-taking techniques to translate spoken discourse; liaison interpreting, where you will gain the ability to act as an interpreter between two people in contexts such as business, diplomacy, or politics.
Moreover, with optional workshops, you can develop skills in simultaneous interpreting, practicing real-time translation using soundproof interpretation booths.
The Unicollege Labs offer valuable hands-on experiences that enrich your academic journey. Through this them, you can access a multidisciplinary training program that allows you to acquire new skills beneficial to your academic and professional development.
The labs cover both foundational and experimental topics, providing in-depth knowledge or complementary insights beyond what is covered in regular coursework. They also allow you to explore subjects outside your main curriculum, further enhancing your cultural and professional expertise.
Internships are an integral part of our curriculum at Unicollege, with placements available during senior years – whose overall duration is 150 hours/internship. The process of securing an internship is simple and efficient. When selecting a company or organization for your internship, Unicollege’s advisory service will guide you in choosing the most suitable opportunity for your academic path, handling all the necessary administrative procedures. Additionally, students can undertake an optional post-graduation internship, which must be activated within 12 months of graduation. This internship serves as a gateway to the job market and typically includes financial support, which varies depending on each case.
